Veterans serving Veterans in Benbrook, TX
Welcome to Paul Mansir American Legion Post 297
Tucked quietly out of the way in Benbrook, TX is a former Church of Christ that was constructed in 1933. This historic building is now where the Paul Mansir American Legion Post 297 is proudly located. The Post is named for Paul Wayne Mansir who was born on the 28th of May in 1943 to Francis and Virgie Mansir. The Mansir family was local to the Benbrook area. PFC Mansir of the US Marines lost his life in Vietnam on the 11th of September in 1965 at the age of 22. He was laid to rest in the Greenwood Memorial Park and Mausoleum in Fort Worth, Texas.
